No. 03 (2020): Jazz-hitz 03
Jazz-hitz is a jazz music research journal promoted by the Jazz Department of Musikene,
Higher School of Music of the Basque Country, that aims to publish scientific works related
to that music style understood from a very wide perspective.
The journal is born with a vocation for continuity as an annual journal with the desire to be of interest for the international community, which is the reason why it opens its doors to collaborations from different countries and diverse languages.
The 3rd issue of Jazz-hitz is of a miscellaneous nature, containing a variety of subjects: from articles that address the origins of jazz history or its introduction in Spain, to others regarding issues about harmonic theory, the use of jazz in animation films, the complexity of choosing a repertoire in subjects involving instrumental ensembles, or the analysis of the contribution of relevant figures of this music.
