Abstract

This article reviews the bibliography written in Spanish-speaking countries about jazz performed in each of them by local musicians. As jazz music has been sedimenting its presence in the public space and increasing its audience in Spanish-speaking countries, it has been investigated — both from the cultural journalistic field and from the academic field— and reflected in various publications, constituting today a varied bibliographic set. These publications present research of very different depth and perspectives, forming a bibliographic body of great interest for academic researchers, cultural journalists and amateurs who want to know or delve into the jazz that is made in our countries.
