Abstract

The presence of Afro-American music, especially jazz, played an important role in the literary work of the poet Félix Grande, particularly in one of his best known collection of poems, Blanco Spirituals (1967), in which he translated the difficulties of the black Afro- American population to the reality of Spanish society at the time.
