‘No me olvides’: fuentes y apuntes para una memoria del jazz en la Costa Vasca (c. 1917-1927)

Abstract

During the first decades of the 20th Century, several spots along the Basque Coast emerged as lively centres of social and cultural modernization. Their distinctive leisure resorts proved soon to be a sympathetic scene for early jazz sonorities. Despite historical oblivion, some diffuse sources bear witness to the first steps of this centenarian vogue.
