Abstract

Electronic dance music is one of the most infl uential genres in current music creation. The United Kingdom has been one of the main driving forces behind this expansion. Within this momentum, contemporary British jazz has embraced its legacy and infl uence to shape a movement of great impact on the international music scene, strongly infl uenced by electronic music. This article presents musical elements, aspects of music production and the confi guration of instrumental ensembles that will help us understand the relationship between both traditions within this musical phenomenon.
